Bald Eagle Machine Rest Value Lock Haven PA

Hi, can someone please tell me what a fair price for this thing is? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any info on this specific one. I appreciate your time.

The bottom is marked Bald Eagle Machine, Lock Haven PA along with a number.

Hey Feller, IF you needed a small rest I'd say 75$, I'd rather have it as a caldwell and thats about what they cost on sale, IMHO...John

I think in the $175-225 market. The Bald Eagles are solid stands and when you put a coaxial top on them they are excellent.

I use a cast iron bald eagle with the ShadeTree coaxial top, I've seen similar to mine listed recently in classifieds for
5-$600 with extra top
I still shoot my best scores from the same setup. We also have a 21st Century Hybrid test that my girlfriend immediately claimed as hers about 2 days after it arrived. We also recently received the SEB Neo X rest that I’m still getting the hang of and look forward to using more in the future because it’s far lighter and just as stable as the BE Big Fifty rest (which is an absolute tank).

I need to modify the coaxial handle so it angles down, I find myself up against the bottom of rifle at times with the straight handle. Winter project I suppose.

That is an original BE rest with windage top. Much better quality than the current BE rests. Looks like a speed screw too, $250ish depending where its sold.

I've got 3 of the "original" Bald Eagle cast iron rests made in Lock Haven, PA. All have different types of windage tops with a rear speed screw. I wouldn't sell anyone of them for less than $450 a piece.

I have a Bald Eagle that I started with before I bought my SEB. I believe Joe Salt or one of his friends makes a super heavy duty bottom for them. I would have bought one bit then. Bit the NEO.

I'm not sure why someone decided to resurrect this thread, but I now own the rest in the OP.... Carry on.

I don’t think that is possible on butch’s Shadetree rest top because when you push in one direction the handle will just rotate.
