WANTED Badger Ordnance M40 base & rings

I've got one or two bases and the correct ring height made by Redfield. Still brand new.

The rings are not welded to the base like how the USMC did.

The Redfield bases I have and I'll double check when I get home are the 3 screw hole versions. Not the 4 screw hole versions like the BO are.

I believe I have a scope you are looking for.
Came off a pre-war model 70 I had.
My understanding this scope was put on it in the 1960’s when glass sights were all the rage.

Try E Bay. Word of advise, don't buy into all that M40 specific base stuff. A standard Redfield base and a set of the 4 screw low rings with slotted screws are all you need. Medium height rings were used on the M40A1. Even in Senich's book, The One Round War, If you look close, some of the very early bases have square edges and some have the slightly rounded type, same as the over the counter commercial stuff. There are those that will take advantage. No need to go bankrupt on a clone build.

Edit to add that Leupold bought Redfield and their new base is very close except for the manufacturer's stamp.

Thanks. Ive been looking at a lot of photos from Senich's book and others. I agree that there isn't just one base. I have one with a slightly rounded edge. Looking for one with the squared edges as well. Would like to find a Badger Ord.
