Bad shoulder

My shoulder has been keeping me up at night so I went to the doc and he said I just had arthritis so I went to a orthopedics doctor and he said I needed a shoulder replacement . I just got a shot in the shoulder for now . and he said NO more shooting , so on the way home I stopped and bought a 22 rimfire not the best in the world , a Ruger American 22 rf but something to play with tell I find something better . That is about the best that I could find with out ordering something and paying $2or $3000 for .So untill I get my shoulder fixed that will do at the age of 85 .

I've had both shoulders worked on and I feel your pain! I switched over to specialty pistols and moved away from rifles. Still have 2 rifles, but seldom use them. With the handgun, no more direct recoil to the shoulder, no more pain. When my issues started, I had both shoulders worked on. They're good now, but I would still rather shoot the specialty pistols.

You can get them any any caliber you want. There's a slight learning curve, but very easy to shoot.

I've had bone spurs removed and still have arthritis in each shoulder. Sleeping can be hard to do. I get a Kenelog shot every 6 months and it helps for 2-3 months. Nice thing is, all body pain seems to dissapate for awhile. These winter years ain't all what they're cracked up to be....

If your not already using a suppressor you should give one a tryout.

Had shoulder issues. Reaching under a vehicle to set the hoist, STABBING PAIN in right shoulder felt like someone hit me with a baseball bat!!
Couldn't do the extended "reach thing" to see thru the LER scope on my XP 100. Converted the XP action into a rifle. Not too much later, the shoulder problem went away. Don't know why but, left the XP action as it is and built an SP on a Savage Model 12 lefty repeater action. Added a single shot follower adaptor. Left hand works the bolt and feeds ammo while right hand keeps control of the stock. (I'am right handed) Used that lefty action to build a "right hand bench rifle".
Right hand thumbhole BR style stock with "left hand" action fitted. Only fitting needed was right bolt handle cut plugged and re cut in the left side. Again, right hand stays in the thumbhole for stock control while the free left hand works the bolt and feeds ammo.
Too bad the XP 100 didn't come with a left hand bolt. (right hand stock)

At the orthopedic right now waiting to see Dr. I get a complete reversal replacement on the 25th for my left shoulder. 7 months ago I had rotator cuff repair done. 2 weeks ago I was shooting pdogs in Wyoming. God is great, Life is good.

For future reference, get some Frankinsence oil and refined Grapeseed oil. 1 tablespoon of GS oil and 3-6 drops of Frankinsence. Mix together in a small bowl, dip your fingers into the mixture and massage the affected shoulder. I've had a total left shoulder replacement surgery, and the right one needs it. Like I said, I've had the left done, and that's the reason the right one will not get done. I also have Rhuemitoid arthritis in my spine. I rubbed the mixture into both shoulders and across me hips, side to side and the spine as well. Within 5 minutes, all pain was gone. I hope this helps...the cost was around $35 (US), but no Dr. or any other cost. Apply as needed. BTW, this recipe will make enough for me to apply 3 times per day for 2 to 3 days.

I've been building a greenhouse. Don't notice a problem when I'm out there throwing up wood and working.
Don't seem to hurt when in the hills using a backpack sprayer either. Sitting around does seem to bring it on.

Shattered left shoulder in a fall on ice while hunting. Reverse Rotor surgery on it
Right shoulder Roto routed torn bicep muscle.. Has been good for a few years.
Trying to start weed wacker this spring. torn something again.
Doctor now says need reverse Rotor cuff surgery on right shoulder.
Waiting until after Hunting season and Holidays

I had many offers for help but I told all that I wanted to do it solo in my 70's...just for personal accomplishment.

I've lived through two 70's....the good 70's and the not so good ones, half way....

Like you ,I put up 300 yards of field fence to keep my dog in when I was 80 and I had offers to help ,but I wanted to do it my self . Took all fall to do it b .ut I got it done and turned out pretty good
