Bad Shellholder

You guys need to check all your shellholders. Look at the offset in this RCBS #10. You can see how far off to one side the primer is. I also had an RCBS that was improperly machined causing contact with the bevel at the front of the extractor groove in the cartridge base [ I wonder if it was this shellholder, hmmm]. The case wouldn't sit on it's base, it was sitting on the bevel.

If you want to see some shady craftsmanship, check dimensions on several Redding shell holders.
Have you contacted Redding to let them know? If they have a process out of whack, they'll want to know about it and replace your bad product.

Winchester69,
Too late on the Redding shell holders-
They're in the scrap steel barrel & out of circulation.
Rayjay,
I thought about playing with the Redding Comp shell holders for various calibers/rifles as not to have dies set up for each rifle,so I ordered Redding standard shell holders & a Redding Comp set-measured/indicated them up & got pist off at the products & threw all of the Redding's in the scrap medal barrel.

I'll use the RCBS shell holders & die shims to simplify life.
