Bad Lapua cases? (Nosler great)

Some one sorted him a nice batch of 250 pieces of brass and you got what he didn't want, take it as school fees its not the end of the world but there are some bad looking pieces of brass in your photos. Ill never buy bullets online from somewhere or some one I don't personally know. I have seen more than one "bulk pack that was just opened and not used" of bullets that turned out to be another guys rejects that he just sells off

I tried a box of the fully prepped, weight sorted nosler in .223, i found some of the primerpockets deeper than others, visibly lighter strikes on the primers, and had couple split necks on second firing.

No need to yell and be a horse's hindquarters about it, 6bras.

I've never bought anything Lapua before this, so I wouldn't know how they do or don't package it at the factory. Hence my questions--which specifically suggested the possibility that I got something other than new Lapua cases. That's the opposite of badmouthing Lapua; it's giving Lapua the benefit of the doubt.

And, yes, of course I would much prefer to order brass from an established dealer. But for the first two months of collecting tools and supplies to get started, I could not find any high quality .223 brass from any dealers, so I used GunBroker for those. If you have any new and helpful shopping suggestions please do share them, though.

Finally, if your goal is to keep people from interacting and learning, your post is perfect--keep it up. Thankfully, I don't give a rat's a** about someone showing their own heiny, so I'll stick around.

Have a nice day!
You got hosed. End of story.

Thanks. If I was looking to buy right now, i would grab some. Shoot, maybe I will anyway. As I mentioned, though, nobody had it 4 months ago when I was searching for it at the peak of hunting season.

EDIT: And Whidden's price now is 30% lower in price than what it was being scalped for in October/November. Oh, well, live and learn.
No way would I shoot that crap you got buy new from a reputable source and throw the other away

I would agree on that was very surprised because I took a long hiatus from shooting and found out that they punched flash holes instead of drilling like they used to

They were never drilled.

I haven't seen any evidence of Lapua brass going down hill. Over the last 4 years I've bought a couple thousand 220 Russian and 6BR cases. I must be really lucky.

The pictures of that brass sure looks suspicious. I have Lapua brass in 6 different calibers, some from the older gold box, some from the newer blue plastic box and some from both. All came in 100 count and loose in the box. But the question is where did that bad looking brass come from? I never heard of Lapua selling seconds?

I just looked at some 223 brass and the word "Match" was stamped in the direction of 223 and not Lapua.
