Been spending time with the 25 X 47 Lapua and neglected the "Uncle Bill" 30BR for a bit but getting back on it now. Still have a few older loads left over from the Rem 700 and wanted to get those used up with my first 100 rds. down the tube. Brass is in great shape so planning to continue to use it as the same reamer was used on both barrels. Shot two 5-shot groups today with left over loads Bart's 118 gr. Match bullets in the ones. Previously shot some left over Bart's 112 gr. Match bullets and the barrel is loving those as well. So far the barrel has not shot any group over 1/4 inch. Plan to check out Cline's 108 gr. in it soon.
Still feeling the gratitude for all that had a part in making this rifle a reality for me. Don't really know the whole story but Zack Donovant @ ODCR, Carson @ Lilja Barrels, Brett Childres the Awesome Stock Painter, my great friend SVT_Tactical were all key players and I apologize if I missed anyone else. Gratitude is extended to you as well.
EDIT: By the way the gentleman from here on the site who purchased the Rem 700 30BR barreled action keeps me informed of his progress and so far he is very happy with the rifle. He has given me nothing but good info and says he appreciates the deal.
