Back to the Future..

since thats the case I would be wanting my powder charges as close to the same weight as possible. JMO—- i never had a chargemaster— how long does it take to drop a charge? how accurate is your beam scale? Im gonna dust off the beam scale and give it a workout soon.
I checked it on the CM. Was the same every time. As for weight, there are so many other factors to consider. I connect most of the time. Misses are usually shooter error. Or wind, as it rarely blows here in Wyoming.

I've used a CM since they came out. I'm not getting what you folks are talking about being so slow. I hit the button, pull the tray after it beeps and I confirm the weight, dump it into the brass and then set the tray back on the load cell. It starts the next drop while I'm seating the bullet. The timing is almost perfect with my system.

It's definitely not as fast as throwing loads with the Lyman 55 but much faster than trickling with the Dandy and the 10-10.
If doing the smaller batches (say up to a hundred or so), The CM was perfectly fine for me too, after warming up. Usually, when I do sit down to hammer out some ammo, I'm loading 100 at a minimum - and sometimes 1,000 or more for varmint hunts. The time savings not using my chargemaster could run up to an hour or more in one day. Charging cases is my least favorite aspect of loading. Sometimes I feel like it is watching paint dry. Ha.

if its working for you sounds good— carry on

You forgot the part about not being able to shoot the difference. Find a load that has a little cushion on either side of the target weight and live happily ever after.
Yup,.. THIS ^^^

No, I have hand tools for the job that work just fine. I splurged on a Little Crow trimmer for $60. I did a search for the Hornady machine and saw a link to a thread on this forum.
The thread was about how Hornady “ripped off” the Henderson design and some of the old guys were peeved about it.
i read that thread to— im always wondering about hornady quality. weather 5 or 700 not buying either one of those now. i to use the wft type trimmer for a couple cartridges i shoot most. have the wilsons to. Oh and hold the show— have some lees in the toolbox. i think the NRA convention is in houston in 26– how far is that from you??

5 hours is more than id drive to. the exhibition hall is worth it to me though even if the rest doesnt press my trigger
I was talking with my wife before Christmas and she asked what gun I wanted as a present. I thought for a while and told her “none”. I honestly couldn’t think of a gun or gadget that I wanted.
I’m at a point where I’m giving guns away or selling them. I’ll keep my favorite shooters but I’m thinning my herd.
Going to look at “new stuff” at a crowded convention center is not high on my todo list, even if it was a mile away.
