Back at Raton after surgery

Shot 1000 yards for the first time last summer at Raton. Was shooting heavies with my rifle chambered in 30-06. Had shoulder surgery in December, then frozen shoulder, then therapy through mid May. Doc said it would probably be best to lay off the heavy recoiling stuff for a while at least. So I re barreled the rifle in 6mmCM and had to hurry to perfect a load in time for vacation.
Well, back at Raton a couple weeks ago and managed a personal best of 196-7x. I am headed back through in a couple days in the way back to TX and hopefully will get another opportunity for some range time.

Glad to see you are recovered enough to be back at it! My wife is finally back shooting after two shoulder surgeries for encapsulitus and it has been a struggle for her. I'll tell her you are back at it so she should pick up the pace! lol.

Had shoulder surgery 18 months ago and this is what the out come was started shooting again within 6 months was doing great until the 13th of the month had to have a rotator cuff surgery on the other one hopefully it will last awhile if not it will be another replacement
