Awesome day at my state capital !!!

I thought I would share my experience at my state capital in Jefferson City MO yesterday and hopefully inspire more to do the same.

I decided a week or so ago I had had enough and I was either going or DC or my capital to raise some hell with anyone that would argue or listen. Then I found out about the march on the state capitals nationwide on the 19th. So I thought perfect I've found my outlet, but then I learned of a property rights rally that was scheduled to be in the rotunda on 16th, even better !!!

A quick phone call to my buddy who runs local gunshop and plans were made. We harassed everyone that would sit still long enough to listen and ended up with 2 vans 25 guys and enough donations to pay for the van rental and fuel.

The rally was great every legislator we met was greatful that we showed up to support the 2nd amendment. We were asked to go up on stage with our signs while the 2nd amendment speaker gave his speach afterwards we received a standing ovation.

The one thing I heard over and over from the legislators was "we need more guys like you getting out and getting involved".

If you have a Facebook account please go
to John Brunners Facebook page and like the picture of us at the rally I would like to see it get over 1000 likes. BTW John was a senate canadate that really had some inspiring words for us yesterday.

It's time to apply some pressure get out and fight!!

Thanks Corey

Some of you guys might know Robert Ross MO State Rep. He owns a Midwestbenchrest in Yukon MO.

Way to go Corey!!! 8)

I remember the struggle the CCW proponents had in Missouri some years back, and how they made headway with a campaign of "I trust you". I flew out to St. Louis to take a CCW class from John Ross, author of the superb book "Unintended Consequences". JR liked to pack a Smith & Wesson 500 as his conceal carry. I kid you not.

Saluting you from the disgustingly liberal left coast. Don't let the lefty politicians judge the many by the actions of a few. These schmucks are supposed to oppose such bigotry, but in fact are the worst perpetrators of it. The 2nd Amendment isn't about deer hunting; it's ensuring that the people are in charge, not the government. Show 'em out there in the Show Me state.

Folks I had the pleasure of these guy's company at the capital Wednesday, it's time for everyone to shut-up and put up. We seemed to make quite an impact. It's time to take this country back!!!

It was great to be part of the group there in Jefferson City. I had wondered why the message didnt seem to be exactly on point for pro second amendment discussion.

Does anyone know the name of the last speaker at the forum? He spoke very eloquently about why we dont want any limitations on our second amendment. But I missed his name

Sean

It's good to see shooters being pro active but where the message needs to get is the non-shooters. Without that, we are preaching to the choir. Point is a ad on the sportsmans channel attacking the Obama agenda where that $ should have been spent on ABC or NBC. Anyone watching Sportsmans channel should have that figured out. That's why any rallys need to have local TV networks covering them. We need the support of the non shooters in this country. One suggestion is to offer FREE gun safety courses to all your local teachers. That is something that any local gun club could organize with the help of volunteer members. We need to start at the ground level.

You guys did well. I have to work tomorrow or I would be in Jeff City to show my support. Represent me in my absence if you would.

Thanks for taking the time to go down there guys. I was #929 on the likes list. I have to coach basketball tomorrow or I would be doing something.
Jason

Sorry I couldn't be present, I was in Jefferson City at St Mary's getting a new hip. I am back home now. We, in Missouri are lucky to have our freedoms, but must remember they had to be earned by people like the ones at the rally that were willing to stick out their necks. Mike

Robert cleans up right well.....

Didn't recognize him all gussied up w/o a hat on....... ;D

Now we have to mobilize new yorkers. When I was a kid I was in the yorker club and was so proud to be here, now I want to leave.
