averaging different wind directions

Hi, guys I am fairly new to long range shooting and have found out that judging dope is my biggest problem. I understand the different values and am not that bad with judging wind speed. my question is:
range 1000yards
wind at the muzzle 10mph from 3
wind at 500 yards 5mph from 9
wind at 1000 yards 3mph from 3
Would you average them, add subtract, do they cancel etc? I know everyone will have a personal way but somehow you all hit the target.
Thank You
