Australian Outback Ammo

I've obtained some Australian Outback Ammo .223 Rem loaded with 69gr Sierra MKHP bullets; at the bottom of the cartridge box is printed 2033ADI; is that the powder used? I pulled a bullet, and The powder charge is 22.7, which looks like either Benchmark or XBR8208. On their website, they post two different velocities. Either 2760 or 2900?

No way to know really. No ammo manufacturer is going to tell you what powder they use. If you want, take a picture of the powder and post it here, People that have the powders you mention might be able to make an educated guess for you.

BTW, all the below powders are made for Hodgdon in Australia:

Trail Boss
H4198
H322
Benchmark
8208 XBR
H4895
Varget
H4350
H4831 / H4831SC
H1000
Retumbo
H50BMG

ADI makes all these and Australian Outback Ammo where they should have little to hide on which powder they use. You might even be able to match up which one from their reload charts:

Oh and you might need their equivalent chart:

At best it will be best guess as their charts specify Win brass and not their own.

Very interesting. The 2033 ADI printed on the box is the lot number

I like that ammo with the SMK bullet, brass reloads well also. SG Ammo used to sell surplus lots of it, seems like it was $110 for a 200 round case at the time.
