Attempting My First Case Forming...!

Good day, gents.

Could any of you experts help me out with some case forming? All I’m doing is bumping .308 cases down to .243 Win. I watched it done on YouTube and did mine the same way - on once fired Federal brass. All my measu come out fine except the overall length... the cases are between 15~20 thousandths of an inch short!

can I fire form them? Any tips or tricks you can share are appreciated! Thanks, and have a great day...

.308 brass is listed at 2.015" vs 2.045" for a .243. I have used .308 brass to form some of my 260ai brass and it worked fine.
