I've been toting a portable lightweight sportsman chair for over 25 years now for hunting eastern ground hogs. I shoot, sitting on the chair using a homemade cross stick resting both elbows on the knees which give me a fairly steady position. 1,996 to date groundhogs can attest to that fact.
Anyway, I designed a carrying sling that slip cross wise over my shoulder with a quick release hook so I can get into position quickly when stalking which I used to do a lot of in my younger days. The sling is designed to carry the chair at hip level on the side. The chair is light enough that it does not encumber met at all roaming the fields and is ready for quick deployment should I get a shot opportunity.
