Athlon Optics warranty.

Just finished a warranty claim with Athlon Optics.

Went very quickly and painlessly. Just filled out the pdf form, printed it and included it in the box. Shipped on a Monday, they had it on Thursday last week. Even with the Christmas Holiday I received a replacement today, UPS. That was a total of 12 days including the Holiday, from door shipped to door returned.

They did not repair the old one, just sent a new one. I am convinced.

Hi,
Years ago, I bought a Vortex Diamondback Scope and was not at all impressed!

Sold it, and it left me wary of Vortex and never bought another.

Just bought an Athlon Midas grade scope and look forward to using it!

Nice to know Athlon takes care of their Customers!

This is my 3rd Athlon scope. Still have the first one, an Argos 8-34X56, on a 223. 2nd was a Helos 6-24X56 which wasn't conducive to what I am doing so swapped it for a Argos 10-40X56 with 1/8 clicks.

I also work as a range officer on a 300yd range so I have an opportunity to look thru a lot of glass. We are also a Vortex dealer so I can get a huge discount but still prefer the Athlon.

Hi,
I heard Chinese Glass is improving by leaps and bounds and I believe it!

The Chinese can build quality, if they are tasked to do it!

In this instance Country of Origin didn't play a part in the decision. It was all based on functionality, features and price. I needed the .125" adjustment for targets, love the floating dot reticle and the rear focal plane.

In my case also the PT range job pays to feed my hobby. Believe the next scope will be an Athlon Ares 15-60X56, Again mostly because of the reticle, then price point.

Recently picked up a Gen2 Argos 10x40x56 for 22 bench rest, very impressed with the glass quality and the reticle. Shot with a buddys Golden Eagle and didn't see anything to justify a 5x price point difference.

Thanks and agree, I get to look thru a lot of glass and find for what I am doing, shooting .5MOA targets at 100 - 300yds, this scope fills the bill completely. Now if the Hera's would come with this reticle I could see myself upgrading to that.

I also believe there are now 3 others in our league group that are now using this scope and another is looking at adding one.

I bought my wife one for her CZ457 American. She love it. I may have to buy one for myself.

So far I discovered the focus knob had some play in it- is this normal??
10-40x56 scope

Just got it mounted.. sighted it in…

Yes-parallax knob-
Feels gritty when turning it.
I can dial in (from 25-to100yd) then roll it back to 50yd- there is some play in there…
