The force would largely operate using federal regulations and standards in its investigation methods, storage of evidence and use of informants.

Then, once the investigation is complete, the agencies would evaluate what to prosecute on a federal level and what to prosecute in state courts, according to the memorandum.

The agencies would also split asset forfeitures and seizures, based on the amount of work each agency did in the investigation.

So, as a former Fed. We've been doing this with joint task force's for about 30 years now. We have always 'joined' our work and gone with whoever can get the biggest sentence for prosecution. Say, a charge at local level is a 3 year max sentence and a a fed level 8 years. The fed prosecutes and pleas to a 3-5 year sentence. Or the other way round. Asset forfeiture has been around longer than that. Harder to work and prove the ill gotten gains thing though.

Wonder who got the fine money when Hilary removed all the stuff from the White house when slick Willy left office. In fact he was in office with a federal warrant for him till Jimmy Carter pardoned him. Selective justice, now the second round coming up………. jim
