ATF Confiscating Solvent Traps

Oil filters do kill many innocent people! Tubing will be on the "list if it isn't already. The real chrime will be if these idiots aren't voted out of office and run out of town!

I am kinda close to Parkland school and have listened to the timeline of this mass murderer. The Broward County school board had numerous complaints from parents over the years and he was never deemed a real problem. The local sheriff's department told the news that they had received 29 complaints about Cruz. They did nothing. The FBI had received 5 complaints about Cruz that were investigated, and no action was taken. Yet the first thing out of anyone's mouth is screaming at the government to "do something". I seemed evident to me that the government did not care at all what that young man did. Outlawing guns if it ever happens will have nothing to do with the citizens safety, they have proved they care nothing about us.
I have been dreaming this for years. But, while I was dreaming, they infiltrated schools and colleges, weaponized agencies against those who don't follow their program, learned how to corrupt the voting system so that a true election does not exist, invented new religions (multiple genders and saving the planet), and they use propaganda and lies with perfection. They thrive on disruption and chaos. We look at places like NY, CA, Chicago and we see failure - they see them as places for breeding more chaos and disruption which spreads like an infection. While we complain they are working to move the walls in on those who want what this country was built on - freedom. But every day I pray for God to put stumbling blocks in their paths and I see results coming out of the Supreme Court. Our prayers in this respect should go up so loud that it makes a touchdown at the Superbowl sound like a sparrow chirping.

We need to find out who our Real enemy is and who Really controls this nation
and it's political process.
What disturbs me the most is the blatant disregard for the oath of office. I know I am old. I know I am of another generation, but “defending the Constitution” is not open to argument or interpretation. “I am just following orders.” did not work well at Nuremberg and reeks of the evil that cost the lives of millions. Free Americans cannot let this happen in our country.

First of all, I am in complete agreement with the 2nd Amendment.
For many years, we have lived with the fact that certain aspects of firearms regulations were the law of the land. Well not really laws but rather rules and interpretations of ATF. Suppressors have been regulated by ATF as well as completely prohibited in many states.
Under existing rules, pay your $200.00 tax along with your application and after approval you could build your own suppressor or take possession of one you purchased.
The proliferation of Solvent Traps made it possible to circumvent every established rule regarding suppressors with impunity. In the past, you could purchase the solvent trap and as long as you did not alter it prior to obtaining a tax stamp, everything was legal and above board.
A new commercially purchased suppressor cost over $500 and in many cases just under $1,000. Solvent traps on the other hand cost less that $50.00. Own a drill and you can build your suppressor. That's something to think about. Do you think that maybe the commercial manufactures might have started all this by complaining to the ATF?
So the questions are many here. How many of you have bought a solvent trap and actually used it as a device to trap solvent???????
Why are the inserts included in a solvent trap? They aren't needed to simply trap solvent.
I have seen solvent traps being used at the range. One shooter demonstrated a converted solvent trap and a high dollar suppressor. I couldn't tell the difference in noise level.

To me....none of this is a surprise. And it's all going to get much worse...........I just wonder at what point people are going to REALLY fight back. Not just talk and "vote" for stuff that never makes a difference.
Criminals are soft gloved and set free without bond. Lawlessness is common at all levels of politics as long as you belong to the democratic party. Republicans are being harasses via alphabet law enforcement......and the list goes on and on. These are ALL SIGNS of a nation headed for civil war if you study history......especially from other nations concerning modern civil war.
The longer it takes for - us - to stand up and say NO MORE (at ALL COSTS) the worse it's going to be when it actually breaks out. There is NO ONE else going to be able to do it. The handful of trustworthy politicians CAN NOT make enough change in what's currently happening.
Organization is a major problem....but there are apps that are completely secure and encrypted that are being used by some brave souls to begin organizing. People are too scared to get organized. They will pick us off one by one........because we will not fight for each other. Just wondering here.......What if - an ATF/FBI raid went down on a neighbor or friends house near you..........and over 100 others showed up armed and told them - this ain't happening here - instead of that friend or neighbor having to face them alone.
It's going to take a real set of balls to do this though. 1 or 2 isn't enough......it would take a minimum of 20 or so to get their attention.

I was only vaguely aware of the “solvent trap used as suppressor” thing so today I tried to familiarize myself. Searching the net I found a video about a “fuel filter” the guy demonstrated as a suppressor. On the video he said “Slovenia recently got an update to our firearm laws and one of the good sides of it was that suppressors are now completely legal and unregulated.” I believe that's the way it should be in the U.S.
The page where the video was also had a link stating: “In Maryland, a U.S. District judge sentenced (I omitted the name) to 41 months in prison for pleading guilty to possessing an unregistered fuel filter suppressor.
So it's no small chance someone would be taking by not following the law. A person could “not comply” and go ahead with what they want to do, OR they could choose to work to change the law.
Now, don't let the following make you think I support the AFT showing up at private residences and making demands, because I don't. But (I know, right?) in the 1980's I was just getting into AR15's with a few other individuals who were interested in National Match/Service Rifle/Camp Perry stuff and at that time the source for gear and parts was gun shows and mail order out of publications like shotgun news. One of the guys ordered one of the original Lightning Links, paid for by a check through the mail and delivered to him via US mail. Purely as a curiosity. He had no real intention of using it other than just to see if it would, in fact, work. He told me he never did try it out. He just had it.
Soon, the AFT said that's a machine gun and therefore must be transferred as a registered item. The manufacturer had sold some before this ruling and apparently voluntarily turned sales records over.
So my friend got a knock on his door one Saturday morning. Two agents identified themselves, asked him if he had purchased one and offered to show him paperwork stating he had. He said yes, they asked if he still had it. He said yes. The “asked” him to give it to them, which he did. Gave him a receipt and left. End of story. At least that's the way he told it to me. So, it's not new...now we just hear about it more.
