Assistance requested on firing pin and spring replcement

Gentlemen,

I'm replacing my son firing pin, spring on a Remington model 7 300 saum due to the spring rubbing the bolt body. The question is will the 700 firing pin and spring work on model 7? Because I'm looking at Tubbs 2000 Speed Systems . I also tested the factory spring at it was approximately 20.5 -20.8 lbs and Bolt Shroud has the the J-lock. Any assistance will be Appreciated.
Thanks
Respectfully Manny Sanchez

If you go to Gre-tan Rifles website, you will see various Model 7 FP ass'y's listed. The Tubbs unit was designed for fast lock time which is beneficial to off hand shooting......not particularly the best choice for shooting small groups from a rest. The Gre-tan is also less expensive. It appears that the Speedlock is not made for the Model 7 Greg Tannel is one of the most versed gunsmiths in rifle ignition system around.
