Arken SH4 Gen II Review 6-24x50mm

Well I’ve seen nothing but good reviews on Arken but that review kinda killed the joy, more of a comedy piece with lots of cussing but definitely negative, lol.

So this got a good review from Galli?
The EP4 series got the good reviews from Frank. The 6-24x SH4 got glowing reviews from everyone else. It's a garbage optic. If you're surprised by the review being negative amid a sea of exuberant pieces then lemme 'splain how "reviews" work. Companies send stuff to guys like Frank and Cyclops and TiborasaurusRex specifically so they'll give glowing reviews which drives viral sales (I know this because I owned a shooting accessory company and we did the exact same thing). Companies often write the reviewer a fat check and they get to keep the product. That's just old fashioned bloody payola. I don't play that game. I purchase things out of my own pocket and properly wring them out. If their performance is disappointing then the review quickly takes on a negative tone. The more disappointing, the more negative. Arken's EP4 is undoubtedly very much nicer than the SH4 but the SH4, which is what was tested, is garbage and only 1 person so far has had the nuts to say so. The whole issue says more about the dishonesty in the review game and the gullibility of the average consumer than anything.

Wow!

Someone with that much negativity in their life should seek professional help. :D
Someone without a specialization in mental health and whom has never even spoken in person to a particular other human being should not make declarations about said other person which are outside their base of knowledge and expertise. Perhaps you're just pissed because you bought one and now you feel bad.

There are 2 threads on this forum from people that have bought the Arken with generally good reviews.
A search will easily bring them to light.

The only other less than good review of Arken that i've been able to find was more a nitpick of the paralax knob not being perfectly aligned from the factory.

And the quality of the, ummm, editorial leaves much to be desired.

I have one these scopes on order, ordered on December 7th. After reading this review I reached out to Arken. I got a return email in less than 24 hours confirming the date I ordered, the ordered number, how much I paid etc. The guy was professional and nice and assured me I’d get the scope in the stated 8-12 weeks at the time I ordered. I have a quite a few high end optics and I’m trying one of these more out of curiosity than anything, a good friend swears by them. The guy I talked to was aware of this review and handled it in a professional manner. I’ll report after I get it and use it a bit.

That being said one of my New Year Resolutions is to stop busing anything made in China. I’m sure they are laughing with the events of the last few months. They have their hands in too much of our business and I‘m afraid too many of our politicians, just my opinion but it’s a strong one.

Well, I can’t say anything bad so far concerning the SH4 series of scopes. They have performed well with everything that I have done with them so far.

All of mine are bought with my own funds.

I have one on my longrange 22 rimfire pistol. Before you roll your eyes it shoots better than any of my rifles which are great competition guns which makes it a very good platform to test on.

So far I'm very pleased with it, mechanics are as positive and precise as our Nightforces, S&B, Vortex Razor and Golden Eagle. Glass is good but isn't as crisp as a more expensive scope but at the first match it was really easy to move the small floating dot around on a golfball at 200 yards which resulted in 5 for 7 hits with 4 different shooters.

Everyone that looked thru and shot it was very impressed with how well it was made. Most thought it was easily a $1000+ scope and couldn't believe it was only $450.00. A scope snob would probably find fault with the glass but it is a $450 scope and is much better than the 20' SWFA scope I used to run.

I am currently using a 25moa base with 30moa in Burris XTR rings. I have 110moa of travel up from a 50 yard zero which will get to 550 yards. If you're ever at a match with one you really need to handle and look thru it.
