I have been contemplating making my own bullets in 17 caliber 30 grain and 20 caliber 50 grain. With the zero press being so strong and precise, would it make a good bullet swaging press? Thanks

He asked specifically about bullet swaging with it. Thats why i said it wouldn't work for that. if i had extra cash i would love a area419 press for standard reloading uses.Sorry - didn't mean to discourage you. By all means buy the Area 419 ... and be the envy of all your shooting buddies and +95% of guys on the forum!!!
And then buy a dedicated press for the messy work.
Rolling my own has crossed my mind a time or two but never actually went through with it. But a good place to start would be calling or emailing Corbins. Or just check their site out. They have a how to section and sell starter "packages" for rifle and handgunWell, you guys just shot down my excuse for buying a zero press. As of now, I know nothing about making bullets. Just an idea that I would like to try. Looking for a place to start. I guess the zero press is out. Thanks for the information.
