I plead ignorance here. Do you have to have these specialized rings to use standard dies and shell holders?

I have the smaller 419 rings for my T-7, and like them over a regular lock ring with the creedmore upgrade head. the ones on my Zero work fine also. but you can use a regular lock ring on the zero press if you want.
