the front wind screen get taken out and put back in? Does the lid and Autotrickler have to be moved every time?
What am I missing here?

This is how I modified my original AT cover which allows me to simply slide the front wind screen up and off with the help of a knob I installed in the wind screen.
Didn't know if I was missing something with the Area 419 lexan cover which I'll be modifying to fit the same. Too bad Area 419 doesn't produce theirs to allow the removal of the wind screen which would sure be convenient.

That's a good way of doing that. I guess I'm not patient enough, I just leave the front one off and work in a room with no drafts or AC going.

This is more for dust and muck muck control between loading sessions.
I put a cover over the whole setup to keep dust off. The clear lexan cover is great for letting light in so any stray kernel of powder can be spotted especially with led lighting just above. Lights up the inside of the scale like an operating room.
