Are EGW Scope Rails Worth It?

EGW makes great rails. The standard and heavier version (or used too).
Cannot knock Blackhawk either for a cheaper priced rail for the money.
Kinda hard not to be satisfied with either.

I'm still hoping someone will tell me what a "hot rifled scope" is.
What i mean by that is moving the scope from one rifle to another.. And it isn't a "hot rifled scope".. it is hot rifling the scope.. like passing a hot potato.. sort of..

...but it's not a potato, and it's not hot.....Okay, I get it now.....I have to admit to being a little on the slow side sometimes.
Once I was predator calling with my brother-in-law and we had a big nasty skunk come running towards us. I shot until I emptied the mag and it was still coming toward us....he realized I had an empty rifle and yelled, "combat load!!!!!" I stood there looking at him handing me one round with the "what" look. Later he asked, "why didn't you combat load that round and shoot again??" When he yelled "combat load" I don't know, I guess I was looking for a 30 round mag.....and we were shooting bolt guns. The skunk sprayed us both and walked away. Tomato juice is worthless.

Bet you felt like a spud then didn't ya! ;)

I'm a fan as well. I have them on Remington, Winchester and Savage rifles, and each of them have performed solidly.

I'm guessing you've never been in the military. The term is a variation of "hot bunking" or "hot racking" where two or more guys are assigned the same bed. One man gets out of the rack and another, working the previous shift or watch, gets in. It's not ideal, but it's better than not having a bunk at all.

Back in the day it worked OK if you scheduled the switch over time correctly. These days, I'm not so sure since your shipmate might be female or transgender or ......... um....... one of those alternative life stylers.

In that case, mistiming the "hot rack" concept could cause problems.
