Are Berger 85.5g 223s reliably Supersonic at 1000 yards?

Are Berger 85.5g 223s reliably Supersonic at 1000 yards?
How about Hornady 80g ELDM
Supersonic is necessary for electronic targets.
Thanks

Depends on your MV and range environment (ie altitude and temperature). Use Berger's Ballistic Calculator on the company's website and select the 85.5 LRHBT from the drop-down bullet menu. You can use the same program for the 80gn ELD-M. Just select an 80gn Berger from the list and overwrite its G7 BC value with 0.258 which is the average G7 value Bryan Litz obtained in his long-range tests. Bryan's values are very good - as good as you get without going to custom ballistic profiling.

Sound barrier is c. 1,125 fps at 59F / sea level and you'd want to have a fair margin above that @ 1,000 yards for reliable target operation.

From JBM Ballistics: 2750 fps muzzle velocity, generic atmospheric inputs. If a tuned load has velocity in your setup above 2750 fps, so much the better.

Greetings,
My B85.5 shows 1500fps at target (via ShotMarker), with a MV @ 2840fps.
