ARBOR PRESSES ?????

I am thinking of getting back into using a arbor press again for some of my reloading, i miss using 1. It has been quite a few years since i have used 1 and wow the prices of everything anymore. I wish i would have kept everything i thought i would never use again. The only 1 i have used was the sinclair 1. I have been searching info on other arbor presses and keeping an open mind. I did see a K&M press with some gadget attached to it for deflection pressure ( i hope i am saying it right ) and not sure what that is all about. I would like to know what you fellows are using and why and what you like about your setup. Thanks guys for any info and help......DAN

i am using the sinclair kit for my 6BR and love it. you can get the whole kit including wilson dies and one bushing for $200.

I use the arbor press side of my Harrells press now that my old Sinclair arbor press has gone to a new home...

Hi, I make the best arbor press at the best price.

I use a K&M with force measuring option, its not the easiest to adjust the hieght of, but the ability to actually see how much force it takes to seat a bullet is nice, and has made an improvement in my shooting.

Some of the Mill supply houses have nice presses for less than 100 USD...Much stronger than the reloading presses...

The K&M will allow you to monitor bullet seating force, and assuring that all brass has the same neck tension/bullet seating force should allow for more consistent ammunition.

Other than that, it's pretty much a matter of what you like as far as presses and features go, and most are built around a similar design. The K&M and the Giraud are the only two standouts as far as design differences are concerned.

Bottom line, most all serve the same purpose and function in a similar fashion, and only the K&M really offers much of any advantage over the others with it's seating force gauge option.
