Arbor press

An arbor press does the very thing it is designed to do. The ram goes down, then travels up. You acquire a feel with what's happening. You can graph it until the cows come home, without having accomplished anything more than spending money.

Where can you get that hydraulic unit and who made that seating die?

I just did a little investigating because I am interested in that base as well and there was a thread on here from 2013 where a guy posted Dale Carpenter's business card. Said he didnt have a website. Still must not have one because I couldnt locate a website. Anyhow, heres the pic of his business card with his contact info.

Did you find a better way?

I do not know who 'you' is.
But for years reloaders got on a kick with the term neck tension and for the same numbers of years I explained to them I had tension gages that do not read tensions and I explained I did not have a way to convert tensions to pounds. I said I use bullet hold because I can measure bullet hold with a bathroom scale, I said I could measure bullet pull in pounds but reloaders continued to claim neck tension this and neck tension; after that they went off talking in lofty terms about how they controlled neck tension and I continued to tell them I can measure bullet hold in pounds, I can measure the force necessary to seat a bullet and I can measure the amount of force to pull a bullet all in pounds.

Bullet hold; it evens hurt them to say bullet grip.
