Greetings all,
I'm about to do my first AR10 precision rifle build and I have a list of the parts I intend to order. If any of you have the time I'd appreciate someone to look through it to make sure it will all work together.
Starting with the upper, I've decided to go with a Larue complete upper. https://www.larue.com/products/larue-complete-22-6-5-creedmoor-match-grade-upper/
Yes, I know, 6.5 creedmoor. I like the caliber haha this is a precision/target rifle, not really a hunting rifle.
To use that upper I need to use Larue's proprietary lower https://www.freedomtrading.com/Larue-tactical-stripped-lower-762-blk-p/lt-10.htm . This is where my first question is. I have a very nice geissele trigger to spare, specially their Super Semi-auto ( https://geissele.com/super-semi-automatic-ssar-trigger.html ), would that be compatible? It is an AR15/AR10 trigger and my concern is pin placement and hammer strength. If I need to buy a trigger with the lower that's fine, but if I can use what I already have it would save me 115$.
The remaining lower parts will also be Larue, https://www.larue.com/products/larue-lower-parts-kit-7-62/ and a magpul grip, https://magpul.com/moe-k2-xl-grip.html?mp_global_color=118
Now here is my second question because I'm confused about buffer systems, there seems to be many routes to take with various consequences. I want to use a specific stock, https://www.luth-ar.com/product/mba-3-w308-commercial-buffer-assembly/ and also use a jp captive buffer spring, https://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPSCS2-10H2 . I really like these captive buffer in my AR15 and would like to use one on the AR10 build. I will be using a suppressor for 90% of my shooting. Will this buffer tube and the captive buffer spring work without sending the bolt carrier into my face? Or do I need a rifle length buffer?
I appreciate your guys time helping me with this.
