AR triggers

Looking for first hand experiences with either a Jewell or Geissele SSAE AR triggers in regards to their breaking pull.

I have 3 jewells in different ar's and they can go down to less than a pound.Mine can and have tried it but it isn't a good idea.I leave mine at 2 pounds and they function nicely. They are kinda a pain to install but once you do it,it isn't that bad.I also have a chip mcormick and it is ok but the jewell is like a fine tuned race car.

Tonight I'll get some batteries for my Lyman trigger pull gauge and see what the RRA "match" {????} trigger stages are, and go from there.

I have several of the Geissele triggers including two of the SSA-E model.

The first stage is about 2.25 pounds and the second is an additional 1.25. Breaks like an icicle, no kidding.

We use them on some guns that get used very hard, and they never ever malfunction or change pull weight.

Every serious AR shooter I've ever talked to uses Geissele. I've got one in my service rife.

i have all these and for service rifle competition the Geissele is the most reiiable and consistent trigger. I have a couple of RR triggers that can be tuned (bending springs and honeing the sear) by someone with a lot of patience. My Jewells are difficult to get consistent(3.5# to 5#) depending on their mood. Geissele is a good trigger and good people to deal with.

One more vote for Bill Geissele. Really though, unless you are Master or HM, the RRA is an outstanding trigger. I use the Geissele in my Spaceguns and have put many Rock Rivers In XC guns. If you are serious about three gun and demand a single stage trigger, there are several good ones available. I do not like the Jewell as the actual lock time is soooo slow, and the hammer spring seems to loose it's set.
Just my thoughts,
Craig

I started out with JP enterprise trigger group in my AR but it would drift out of adjustment on me on occasion. Later bought my first Geissele two stage trigger and have shot the snot out of it at monthly carbine matches and fun shoots with friends and family. Bought the Geissele single stage three gun trigger for use in my carbine match rifle as I believed it would be better suited to the fast pace. Still shoot the two stage. One trigger that I recently got a deal on was a knights and it was nice once adjusted but was just as complex as that first JP trigger and I don't fully trust it to not drift on me. Last is the RRA and I have nothing bad to say about them, my friends buy them on sale here sometimes for 150ish and they love them. I still like my Geissele's better but I think thats because I already spent the money on them.

I have units from American Trigger on mine, 1st stage maybe 1/2 lb, 2nd stage a crisp 2lb. So far can't say anything bad about them. Jerry Mickulek is recommending them. Simple drop in install and NO adjustment

In this order best is Geisslee, Jewell, Timney. If you have a couple days, lots of patience and deal in self abuse, buy a Jard. >:(

I've had the Jewell and the Geissele triggers for A/Rs. For me, I preferred the Geissele. It was very consistent with a great predictable feel.

Have any of you tried a American AR gold trigger I have one and have installed two others and I think they are great! approx. 2.lb and nice and crisp! just thought I would add this for your intrest in a nice trigger, RW

I took my Jewell out for two reasons. I wanted a single stage trigger and it was a PITA to adjust for me. I put in this trigger and have been satisfied so far.
