AR Rear Sling Stud Replacement

I need to remove the AR rear sling stud from my A2 stock so I can use it with a bunny ear bag. Does someone make a threaded nut of some sort that will fit in the sling opening that I can screw the bottom buttplate bolt into?

Just cut the sling loop from the threaded mounting nut.

I just stick a hex nut in the slot

Shouldn't matter if you just remove it. Pull the screw, pull the plate, put a nut in so you can put the screw back in.

There are no blanking plates I know of, but if this won't get in the way too much there are sling stud replacements, maybe that will help?

If you want to blank it, the factory sling loop is pretty cheap and easy to replace. Scribe the shape, remove it, grind off the spare, blacken or paint, put it back.

Sacrifice a swivel. If you make a nut from scratch, the thread is 12-28.
