Ar barrels

Yes Sir, John and his Son Ben are hoghunting buddies. He has done a couple uppers for us on Shilen blanks, tho I do not know what he used on the Service rifle that he did for me.

I figure John was doing such a good job I would leave him to his market, and stay in mine.

I have two Faxon Gunner barrels. The 18" shoots as well as my WOA, and the 16" is struggling to hold 1 MOA. I'm going to try a few more loads in it.

The couple of Krieger AR barrels I have shot were well under MOA.

White Oak makes great AR barrels. You can get the lower priced Wilson barrel or a higher end barrel, John sells both. I shot the WO Wilson barrels when I shot 3-Gun and they done everything I asked of it. If you are looking for better accuracy then you will have to spend the extra funds. My Wilson from White Oak could get down to .6 and when I used it for groundhogs, they did not get away because of poor accuracy.

I have customers tell me everyday that my Wilson barrels out shoot their machine cut barrels. Or at least they see no difference.

I haven't had the best of luck with Faxon and Wilson Combat in 6.5 grendel. However I've had decent luck with Ballistics Advantage. I don't have any experience with WOA but hear nothing but good. I also have a Craddock Bartlien in 6.5 grendel it's the most accurate AR I've ever shot but it's was $$.

Next build will be with BA or WOA.

Craddock makes good AR barrels.

Of course, he was at White Oak for several years.

Wilson barrels are good barrels for the money. You can spend more and get more for what you spend, but you need to be able to get more out of the better barrels, saying you as a shooter and reloader can get the most out of the barrel. Most folk won't out shoot a Wilson in a AR, but many can. Bolt guns are a different animal completely.
