AR-15 sight help

Guys,
A friend of mine is going to order a new RRA AR.

Should he get it with 1/2 min or 1/4 min. clicks???? Should he get the .30 or .40 hooded aperture..

I shoot only dogs with my AR's and they all have scopes..

Thanks in advance for your input....

I'd go for 1/4's and a .040 hood for a starter set up. A .030 is SMALL and they may have light problems, not that it can't be shot. The conditions must just be ideal and the shooter has to have a real good set of eyes to boot. A .040 just makes a better over all peep for starting up, they're easy enough to change.

Check out White Oak, just to name one, for different sized hood set ups.
