AR 15 mag release

Good morning gang, I need a little advice.My AR will not allow a loaded mag to be inserted fully,without a good rap when seating it.I have inserted empty mags both metal and MagPul`s no problem.With the bolt carrier group locked back I can insert both empty and loaded mags without force.As soon as I drop the BCG the problem starts.This just started.The gun has never malfunctioned before.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Don't load the magazines to FULL capacity & your issue will be past tense.

All the AR's I've ever handled do that.

A full mag under a closed bolt puts a lot of force against the BCG. One has to remember that the rifle was designed for infantry that will shoot it dry (to lock-back) before reloading. The concept of tactical reload was not included in the original design.

Yep, with a full mag and closed bolt there is no room for the rounds to push down further as you hammer on the bottom of the mag. Bolt open ok, or load one less round.
