Hello, all!
I really need a Jewell Trigger expert to help me...
I'm new to the forum but not to shooting and I have a question about my new Jewell Trigger that I've installed in my AR-15. I've noticed, when cycling the trigger "manually" meaning with the upper off, I see that the second stage does not engage. The instruction manual clearly says "when properly adjusted, pull of trigger (1) reduces the engagement of sear (6) and trigger notch (7) (first stage pull) and allows the disconnect lever to rotate to the point that its contact face engages the hammer tang (9) (beginning of second stage)." No matter how I adjust the first stage spring leg or the second stage set screw (or any set screw for that matter), the contact face NEVER engages the hammer tang! They come close... within about 0.030" but then the hammer takes off!
Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated!
