AR-15 Forend Bag Rider

Recently finished up my latest project.

We're going on a prairie dog shoot in northwest texas in a couple of weeks and i want to be able to shoot from bags with my AR. So with Speedy's help i programed up the schools CNC and these are the results.

This one is made to fit a 2" round Forend tube but i want to make a few more models down the road

Very nice work.

Jon, FYI the EGW company makes a nice Delrin front bag-rider that we designed for our 20 Practical AR project. It is quite affordable.

I havent started a full production run of these yet, but if your interested in one i would be happy to make a few on a small scale

11 years later and the need for a low contact/friction rider is still here. Rain sticks delrin to he bag
Try an old BR trick. Take a supply of waxed paper squares with you to put under the forearm and stock between the rifle and bags. The best free recoil you'll find. You can also save your wifes ruined panty hose, cut off the lower leg and slide it onto your butt stock.
