AR 15 barrel profile ?

I did think about that. I've not done it but you're right, it should work just fine. Ultimately, the would have to be pretty hell bent to want to, though. Then comes the gas block, if used. One can be made for pretty much whatever diameter. again..hell bent is a good way to describe it, but if there is a want for it, there usually is a way.
Hi Guns-- I guess I don't feel the need to use this big of a barrel right now, but who knows I may someday. It's a good idea and one I will keep in mind. I wonder about how heavy a barrel I want hanging off an aluminum upper. Thanks Hoz

Hey Ledd looks like good shooting there. Did you hold for wind on that one?
Wind was gusting pretty bad that day. Was trying to shoot the string in between 15 to 20mph 30 degree tail wind gusts coming from my rear left side. Wind never actually fully died down so i was holding about 1/4 to 1/2 MOA left of the bull when a gust calmed down. Took about 3 minutes to fire the 5 shot group. Gusts were so erratic that it was tough to time the lulls. Obviously didnt work out for me on a few shots when the wind was a little calmer than my call. Of course i dont know if the rifle is capable of one hole groups so the wind may have blown the rounds closer together. Lol. Did the best I could with the conditions. Gonna test some load adjustments when I find a good calm day.

Recently I've been shooting a 22br. 1st time I took it out was a calm day and it was pretty easy to put them all in one hole but the second time I took it out it was windy and it sure made a difference. 22br is more sensitive to wind than 6br than I thought it would be even at 500 fps difference in velocity. working on my wind reading skills.
