April Fools day on the chucks.

My brother and I killed five woodchucks in two hours on April 1st. All were camped out in wheat and alfalfa fields.
The farmers are loving it.

17HMRs in SE PA. Longest was 134 yds. We got lucky and he was straight downwind. They'd only pop up out of their holes for what seemed like seconds. By the time we'd get lined up, they'd go down. Plenty more targets left but looks like the wind's going to blow for another week. Savage 93 and an Annie 17P, Hornady 17Vmax.

With all the warm weather we've had, the wheat and hay are really popping and most trees have bloomed. Now we're back to 30s at night. Can't even fish without freezing your buttocks off. Can't complain too much though after seeing that spring snow in the northeast.

29 degrees today, sun and 5 inches of snow...with no melt projected this week. Last thursday (70 degrees)i took off my studded snows. Fi final cleaned and shut down my pellet stove. Saturda it went to 27 degrees from 40 in minutes and it snowed Sunday and monday. So guys, if you like snow, you can thank me... I like small denominations, in piles. If you hate snow, well, it was my wife's idea.
