I'm looking into a new custom 300 Winchester Magnum rifle build for longer-range open country hunting of mule deer. I'm considering an Obermeyer 300 Win chamber for this (prints attached), and am curious if anyone has any personal experience with it.

- I'm wondering, with handloaded ammunition, how long I can expect the rounds to be when compared to SAAMI if I were to seat bullets to touch the throat?
- Considering using hunting bullets in the 180 to 200 grain range, one being the 185 Berger hunting.
- Rifle would be fed from a Hawkins Hunter DBM.
- For range practice, how well does this chamber handle factory loads. I have some Federal Premium 185s to use.
- Rifle would be a 10 twist, 26"
