Anyone use this tool for primers

I had one and it was OK. Nothing to write home about. The bolt(?) that holds the handle was very sloppy and the adjustment wheel was less than accurate. However, it did work. Just not a precision tool. The no longer (unfortunately) made, Bald Eagle bench primer tool ran circles around it for 1/2 the price.

Excuse my ignorance, but what else does the Holland seater provide over the RCBS other than an aluminum mounting/base plate and an adjustable set screw to stop the hand lever and set seating depth? That seems like a steep up charge for a set screw, unless I am missing something else.

In the adapter unit where does the dial go?
Is the horizontal bolt/bar different diameters for coarse adjustment?

I have one (I bought it as the add-on), it's great, but you should ask about their fees BEFORE ordering it.

There is a credit card fee and shipping will be almost $30. Combined, it’s $35 to $40 more than the listed price. You don’t get to know about the shipping cost until after you make the purchase online.
Been there and done that with them. You are correct.

I was wondering the same. They don't say anything about the differences on their web page.

I doubt you’re ignorant, but if you buy the Holland seater you’ll be missing at least a couple of hundred dollars, although it seems narrowing that down I guess is tricky too.
I have the RCBS one which replaced a C&H model that I wore out after 35 years.
And primer seating to me has been the least of my concerns. Clean the pocket and seat the primer until it bottoms. I’m only interested in 100 yard BR shooting. Small groups are my goal. If I thought for a second that Holland seater would reduce group size, I’d have it.
Far more interested in a gain twist barrel for one of my 30br’s.

I am in the Dave Tooley camp, post # 9.

I use a Sinclair priming tool, seat by feel rather than a specific depth, the latter which can lead to insistent seating because it assumes that all primer pockets are identical which they are not even after uniforming.

Also, I like the space saving feature of a hand priming tool. It's one less thing I have to mount on my table. When I am done priming, I simply store it on the shelf, out the way.

I never liked the idea of stacking a bunch of explosive items in a tube. While I never had an accident in the years that I used the RCBS press mounted priming system, I often got primers misaligned. While the tool posted appears to be of a much superior design that the RCBS press mounted system, for me, using a high-quality hand priming tool like the Sinclair tool, produces the most reliable results.

I have the Holland upgrade. I like it and think it is worth the money. I have a couple of hand primers, I've pressed enough primers with them that I wanted a bench system. The Holland isn't perfect but it's a reasonable value compared to the CPS.

Anyone use the above tool for seating your primers? If you have or use it now, what are your opinions on it? Good or bad.
I have been using my Lee hand priming tool for 50 years. I seat by feel. I think I paid under $10 for it.

I like this one a lot. I saw it Sunday night. I have some checking to do first.
I have that RCBS one mentioned. Minus the hollands stuff. It works just fine. I have been interested in controllable seating and found the “Ugly” one. Seems like a good design to me. Lemme know if you find out anything good/bad/indifferent.

Sorry Jess for derailing your original question/post. I will get back to the “regularly scheduled program”.
Hollands perfect seater, anyone have first hand experience for the OP. Thanks
