Anyone use Rel 15.5 in their 6XC or equivalent caliber.

I have a custom 6XC that shoots way better than I can with Rel 15. I am down to my last pound and cant find any anywhere and ran across a deal on a #8 jug of Rel 15.5 for about a $150 savings, so I bought it. Thinking I can back the load down and should shoot about as good. Anyone have any experience in using this powder in a gun that shoots great with Rel 15

Lots of folks also shot RL-16 in XC or creedmooors. If 15 and 16 are both appropriate burn and fill rate, 15.5 will work too.

I am using RL15.5 in one of my Dashers with 109 Bergers. It is shooting under 0.2 and I am getting 2985 fps in a 27" barrel. The load is a little finicky and requires a re-tune between winter and summer but the combination of speed and accuracy make it worth the fuss for me.

Get it.

Shoot my favorite load in 6xc with 108 Berger is 34.5 grains of AR COMP. I figure 36ish should be MONEY with the 15.5.

I too just finished my R15 supply for my 6 Dasher/105 Hybrid loads. Tested a few with 15.5 for the change; 20 fps less with appearances of lower pressure (31.5 grs, Alpha brass, CCI 450, 28" barrel).
YMMV!
