Anyone try these or others perhaps?

Berger HPBT Match 22 cal. 77 grain bullet Wondering if anyone has tried these or perhaps others for the best group at 300 yards. Thanks in advance.

I tried some Nosler 140 Accubonds and some 142 Homemade jacketed bullets similar to the Sierra Matchking in my 6.5x284 specialty pistol. Both shot about 1/2 moa at 300 and I was able to hit a 10" gong at 1000 within about 7 shots and then smacked it a couple of times with each.

These were my best groups at 300 in the recent past.

Steve :)

Here's some data from my 26", 8 twist CBI in 223 Savage notebook.

73 grain Berger, 24.0 grains Varget, Win brass, cci400 seated .007 off = .332 for a 5 shot group

77 grain Nosler CC seated .015 off, 23.0 Varget, Win brass, cci400 = .213 for a 3 shot group.

77 grain Sierra Tipped MK touching lands, 20.5 8208XBR, Win brass, BR4 = .068 for 3 shot group, but 22.5, 23.0, 23.5 all shot under a half MOA.

I shoot the Berger 80.5 Full Bore in midrange Fclass. Most accurate 224cal bullet for me. And its not critical for seating depth.
