Anyone remember the OLD CRUSADER cartridge ?

I use to be into 1000 yd shooting , a lifetime ago , and really liked the 6.5 . I had Clymer make a 6-7 6.5 magnum based wildcats . It was decent ,but bullets weren't really standardized or available .
I was turned on to another even older smith retiring , and selling a few 6.5 reamers , all Clymer , the one that worked great was the 6.5 crusader , gunsmith was Connell .
I think , it could have been Connelly .
Just wondering if anyone else heard or used his wildcat . It's basically a 6.5 rem mag but before remington came out with it .
It was sure more barrel friendly than my 6.5 in a 1.75" shortened 460 Weatherby
Thanks

Hey there! There is a thread that just started on the 6mm topic board asking about a crusader. Maybe you can teach em something? I, personally, was spending too much time chasing the ladies during those years.

There's a gunsmith in Lake Worth FL, that may be able to help you. Call me and I will hook you up.
