Anyone playing with the 30 Nosler yet?

Is anyone playing with the 30 Nosler yet? I just received a build for my wife this week and got it out to the range yesterday. I necked up 11 pieces of 28 Nosler brass, FL sized them, picked a middle range 300 WBY load of Retumbo and topped them off with some 210gr LR Accubonds. Conditions were crappy, gusty wind and some rain but I needed out of the house for some range time so off I went.

I didn't bring the chronograph but the load shows promise, all 3 shot groups were under 1MOA and the last one was less than .2MOA Curious what others have found.

The rifle is a blueprinted stainless Remington action and tuned x-Mark trigger, Proof /research 26" 1-10" carbon barrel, 4 port Muscle brake and bedded in a carbon fiber Manners EH1 stock. It is topped with a NF 5.5-22X NXS with the MOA reticle. Entire package weighs about 9#, but has no recoil. I love the stock and can't wait to get another!

Sure, Ill take a few later. It is in the cleaning cradle now. Not quite a mountain rifle but I wouldn't hesitate taking it anywhere.

I built a couple a few years back when the 26 came out. Didnt hear any bad reports. Should be a very good long range hunting rig

I have sold a few borden timberline actions specifically for the 28/30 nosler with the supporting mag well cut for people wanting to use longer bullets.

Every single build shot great and I think that platform is ripe for more experiment. Great hunting caliber for sure !

Greg, I am trying to be strong and resist one of those beautiful Bordens, at least for a few months!

These new Nosler cartridges are an attention-getter. I just had a 280 AI built and, while perusing data, found some numbers for the 28 Nosler. From what I saw, it may well be the fastest of all 7MM cartridges out there.

FWIW, Nosler has load data for the 30 listed on their site, now. This cartridge looks better and better everytime I look at it :)
