Anyone near Flagstaff AZ? need info

My wife is flying in for a job interview, so I was wondering a few things about the area.

Gun business friendly?
shooter friendly?
would you live in Flagstaff or an outlying area?
Housing prices falling or on the upswing?
general things to know about the area?

They just got a new range up there. I used to read a lot of complaints from guys that didn't have a shooting spot. I'm sure they're out there. But now there's range.

Totally gun friendly state. My grandaughters fiance works for Ruger who has a factory in Prescott and I have a few friends that live in the surrounding areas. I believe they are a right to carry state now! someone can correct me if I am wrong, but you don't need a license to carry concealed anymore in AZ.

My wife has an interview comming up and I think I will fly out with her, I've heard the city of Flagstaff can be a pain in the butt to any new buisness development let alone a gun manf. So I'm trying to find on the ground info about where, within 15 minutes of the city is a community or township that might be more friendly to a manf. ffl setting up shop. If her job goes thru I may/will be moving my shop, leaving that up to the wife to decide. I would most likly want to do my buisness at my residence so I don't think that will flys with FS city zoning.

Just south of Flagstaff off of Interstates 17 is a small community called Camp Verde, and there are two benchrest shooters there that both have shops, Bob Dodd he used to make actions,rail guns, powder measures, reloading press's and custom knives. The other is Randy Burgess a great guy and does some custom smithing,and a host of other things including manufacturing custom cases for rail guns etc.. In the Flagstaff area there is Pete Savage and I am sure he has a small shop attached to his house so I know it is possible, probably just not within city limits. You can probably get Bob Dodd's number over at Benchrest.com I just found Randy's #928-567-3105 Tell him you got the # from Gary Vanlier I am still looking for Pete Savage's # Since we are coming up on a weekend I would expect most of them to be off at a shoot,so you might want to wait until monday to call them.
Just found a # for Bob Dodd,928-567-3333, Address is 4340 East Canyon DR. not sure if thats his shop or home address but suspect its his shop.
