Anyone had 6mm dasher neck bushing die made from redding S type 6br die?

I can live with the Forster micrometer seater, but would like to neck size for the dasher on my co-ax press.
I've got a spare S type 6 br die on the shelves. Does a gunsmith need to heat treat the sliding sleeve after reaming it out to dasher?

Do a search for dasher dies and I'm awfully sure it's been mentioned, but you could also order the Redding 6 Dasher "S" die from Robert at 6mmhot.com, he also has the competition seater die if you need it. Good guy, great service.

I believe Robert only shows the Redding FL 'S' die. I'd much prefer to neck size only with body die option as I do everything else I load for. I was able even to buy such a Redding set for my 6 x 47L. That they don't make one for the dasher is puzzling.
With this extra set of 6br comp dies on hand I'd like to have the sleeves punched out for the dasher and have my cake and eat it too.

The Forster Micrometer sizer die is available off the shelf for the dasher at $61. Much as I like Redding I think I'll take that route for the seater die at 1/2 the price.

I don't think the sleeves in the redding competition neck sizer or seater dies are hardened at all. Another option is reaming out a 6mmbr or 6ppc Wilson seater, I've done this before, works very good.

Just tried the sleeves of Forster and Redding with a file. Soft as buttah.

For $145 I can get the Forster Micrometer seater die in 6 dasher and the Redding 6br Comp bushing neck seater and have my 'smith ream out the sleeve with the chambering reamer he'll be using on my bbl soon.

I could then go to Robert and buy the Redding S FL bushing die in 6 dasher. Expensive, but I've already got a nice varmint 6br and I hate loading the same cartridge for 2 different guns.

Redding makes two different types of neck bushings.

Steel Bushings = Heat treated to Rc60-62 and polished for smooth operation
Titanium Nitride Bushings = Surface hardness rating of Rc85 and surface treated for smooth operation

Redding Bushings are interchangeable with Wilson Style bushing neck dies

When I built my Dasher I ordered the 6BR Competition bushing sizer die and the Competition bushing seater ties. I had my smith ream them both out with my pilot reamer from PT&G so they are the exact size of my chamber. For my chamber I also had PT&G provide a finisher reamer as well which made the chamber slightly larger than the die set and smoothed it out.

Setup works great and the gun shoots very, very small groups
