6mm dasher dies

I'm putting together a 6MM Dasher for 6oo - 1000 yd shooting.
.270 neck with Lapua brass.
What dies do you recommend?

Redding, Forster or Hornady ?

I like the idea of the sliding sleeve, that Forster and Hornady use ,that fully supports and aligns the case as the bullet is being seated.

I would like the sizer die to full length size the case the minimum amount.

I'm open to any ideas and can use all the help I can get.

I just did a Dasher and bought Forster competition die set and sent it to Forster to have FL die honed out for the neck tension I wanted and the runout is almost 0 on loaded rounds. Works great and great value for cost. If 1 FL die is not enough you can buy a second FL die and have it honed to what you want and still be less than buying other brand competition sets and different size bushings.

Hal, the Redding Competition Seater also has the containment sleeve. It is VERY good.

I have been using the Redding FL "S" Bushing die and recently got one of John Whidden's versions. It is, I think, better made than Redding die (though the internal stem is sourced from Redding). They use the same bushings as well.

I've not used them, but Forster's dies are also well-respected.

Harrells. Send them three fired cases and they will send a die that works best with your chamber. This will provide you with the best die possible. The next step up is getting a full custom die made exactly for sizing to your chamber. The best part is, the Harrells die is like $80 shipped to your door.

The problem with Redding, they don't make 2 the same. I had 2 Redding Dasher dies and each one sized different. The sized the shoulder more and the other sized the base more.

For a seater, get a Wilson seater blank and have your smith make one from the chamber reamer. I got one made for $60-70 and its perfect! Huge difference from a loose fitting factory seater! For reference, I do have a Wilson factory Dasher and a Forster seaters. The custom Wilson seats the straightest.

I didn't know that ,thanks for the info.

I need a set of dies to load ammo with. Than if they don't size correctly I'll have to order a Harrell die.
