anyone found a "quiet" air pump for cooling barrels that works?

I have seen some of the mattress air pumps and they move a lot of air but are pretty noisy. I am wondering if any of you have found one that is pretty quiet but still moves plenty of air. thanks in advance. bryant. :)

12V or is 110V ok with you?

I have a 110V air pump that I picked up off of Amazon that is pretty quiet. 99% of the noise is the air coming out of the tube. Once stuffed in the chamber, it is pretty darn quiet.

I use a pump from Walmart. It takes 6 "C' batteries. I think it's a pump for a fish tank.

I have both the barrel cool and a rechargeable snap air pump . I use the snap air pump inside a soft sided cooler with a bunch of ice packs with a flexible surgical tube off the pump into the chamber. No longer use the barrel cool. With cold air blowing into the barrel it takes about five minutes to cool it down. The cooler also keeps the pump noise down.

$20 bucks on Amazon and a piece of 3/8 hose

I believe Dewalt /Ryobie makes a table fan that runs cordless .
The fellas use those regularly (at the bench during a relay)I was tempted to use a ice cold towel once but wasn't sure so I held off and slow fired the remaining relay

Cheapest, quietest one I've found is a bait bucket aerator that runs on 2 D-cells. Buy it at Academy, Wally World or any sporting good store.
Tried the Barrel Cool product but I couldn't get it move any air through the barrel.

Just ordered a "Chamber Chiller" Beta 60 barrel cooler. Manufacturer claims it has over 5 times the force of the "Barrel Cool" and it's much quieter. Will let you know how I like it when I test it out. In the videos, there's no doubt it's quieter and the air force is far superior to Barrel Cool

I'll be interested in your report. I have the barrel cool.....it's better than nothing.

I have a Chamber Chiller B60 - thought they stopped making them. It's pretty quiet - I always have to remind myself to turn it off ;). Pushes a lot more air thru the barrel than the BC. Like the fact it takes regular batteries too. YMMV.

I also run one of these (from @jimpag) while shooting.

thanks to all that replied. during this I found a grill blower for 7$ on Amazon that looks pretty promising. 4 aa batteries and a youtube video that shows it moving quite a bit of air. think I will try it. once I get it I will post the results for anyone who is interested. thanks for the help! bryant :)

I made my own chamber chiller. It is just a regular 60mm blower fan used on a lot of 3D printers and I printed my own piece that attaches to it. While there is a lot of force coming out of the fan while it isn't in the chamber, it is greatly reduced in a 6mm barrel. Putting your hand in front of the barrel, you can barely feel any air.

That + some PVC tube from your local hardware store. Moves a lot more air than the "chamber chiller" devices.
I tried this SNAP Air Pump a couple of years ago. Not impressed at all. The enclosed battery wouldn't last very long and was slow to charge off my spare battery pack. For volume and long run time, I haven't found anything better than the matress pump. It's loud, but effective and I put up with it.
