Anyone ever used a Mueller Scope?

Some complain about mushy clicks, I was told they have a oring that causes that. Mine has worked fine.

I have a 6-24 X 44. it was on a 17hmr, more magnification than I needed. For the money, I don't think there are many others that can compare. The only feature I dod not like was the front focus , I use flip up lens covers and focusing was always awkward. I plan on hanging it on a future project but if you are interested PM me and maybe we can make a deal.

I recently purchased a "inexpensive" scope. Some of us find 300 a good chunk of change. The muller was on my short list. I ended up getting the athlon argos btr 8-32×56. My choice came down to the bigger objective lens. I spent 369 on it, so a bit m9re than your budget. I am mostly happy with it but i highly doubt it is the clearest scope out there, it has held zero very well.

Pull the knob, there's an O-ring that rides between the turret and the knob. It comes packed with a fairly heavy grease. Remove the O-ring, clean it up, regrease with a thin silicone lube, and reassemble. Still not great, but mines a lot better after doing that. Running on an old H. Weihrauch single shot rimfire rifle. The scope does better than the rifle does, as far as I can tell.

I'm in the market for a new scope for long range (minimum 24x). My budget is limited at $300 max, so options are few. After some research, I found a brand I know nothing about, and the reviews sound too good to be true. Mueller scopes are made in China (along with everything else these days), but it sounds like they have high quality glass and design, along with poor quality control. More than 80% of reviewers say it holds zero, has remarkable clarity, and has a lifetime warranty. The model I'm looking at is the Mueller Tactical 8-32x44. Customers who had issues and returned their scopes were sent brand new replacements, no questions asked. Typical foreign quality control. Anyone have any experience with this brand?
I'd have to put Mueller scopes in with Simmons, Tasco, Barska, Bushnell etc when it comes to quality. I own one and it's on a muzzleloader. 2-10x44 I think. It's an illuminated reticle. It's been very dependable and holds zero very well. Tracks good and takes recoil well. It's been on my muzzleloader for many years while probably 2-3 lbs of powder has been shot thru it. Scope is clear and is very decent for what I paid. Again, it's not Leupold, Sightron or Vortex glass let alone the top quality names out there. I'm keeping it until it fails on the gun it's on. For the money, I'd say they are worthy of using it that's the range of price your looking for.

I have two a 6x25 and a 8x32 both fine cross hair with a dot. They are nice are clear hold POA and have yet to fail.
On the other hand one Weaver T46 went back 4 times for repair and it was finally refunded by Vista, and as I type the replacement I bought for it is sitting at Leupold for repair, 7 weeks and counting. Neither of these was on a hard recoiling rifle, 6BR.

I have the Mueller fixed 40X on a Anshcutz 64 rimfire 22. Thus far i am pleased with the optics and performance. $259 $$$$$.So far a good value.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I'm hearing the same kind of information that I read in reviews, but I trust the responses on this forum much more than websites that sell the equipment. Amazon has the scope I want for $225, and since I'm a Prime Member, I won't have to pay for return shipping if it has a problem out of the box. If the clicks are too mushy, I can always send it back for a full refund. I wish it was 50mm, but for the price, I'll settle for 44mm.

I didn't realize that there is a classified section here. I'll have to check that out, but there are certain things I will not buy used, and a scope is on that list. Also would never buy a used rifle or any electronics. Just me . . . I'm weird like that.

I did notice now that I think back on the turrets, that mine too ate a bit mushy. That doesn't affect anything in my scopes case. Just not a high quality optic so I guess it's expected.

glad you found your solution.
and, a comment: there is a lot of integrity in the guys that hang out here. of course, any anonymous forum will attract a few scammers. but if you follow net buying basics, read the cautions the forum boss has posted, and demand an inspection period there are unique items to be had. it's not like laying out cash for a rifle walking around the gun show... my saying on those, generally, is 'only the problems get let go of'

I have a Mueller 8.5-25X50 "Eraticator" mounted on one of my Anschutz 22lr match rifles. It has a fine crosshair with illuminated center 3/8 dot reticle. Clicks are 1/8". The scope tracks well and the clicks are pretty crisp. Lens quality is good, considering the price. It has served me well for the past four years..

I have 3 8-32x44 2target dot and a mill dot.
I've been trying to get time to check them with the scope checker but can't seem to find the time.
Maybe I'll get to it soon.
so far I think they are good scopes, but I don't have much time behind any of them.
if one of these guys with scope checker experiance want to or willing to check a couple of them I would send two of them for it.

People would crap down both legs if it held POA.

It's an inexpensive scope that many people do not have issues with and function fine. I'm not a Mueller scope guy although I do own one mounted on a muzzle loader. Works fine and has for over a dozen years. I've read posts on Night force, Leupold and other high end scopes where people have had bad customer service. Meaning didn't get their scope fixed when it stopped working properly. If you dig far enough back, you can find anything. Don't mean a thing. Every company out there has given some customer an issue on a warranty claim. Gauranteed. I don't buy scopes hoping to use the warranty. In fact I have only used a warranty once on a scope. Odds are you'll never have to use one.

Daleboy, not yet. I would love to see this scope pass the recoil test, at a third the price of a Sightron.
As I said in a previous post, I have one on a .50 cal White muzzleloader. I've shot it dozens of times with the 480 grain super slug and several times with the 600 grain slugs. Not so much today. Recoil isn't fun anymore. Burned probably 3 lbs of Pyrodex thru that gun with that scope on it and it's survived the recoil over the past 10 years. Prior to this Mueller that's on it it wore a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x50 and recoil killed it in about 2 years. Again I'm certainly not saying that it's a premium scope but for a gun I only shoot a few times a year, it's worthy of where it sits.
