Anyone ever try a Hart primer pocket tightener?

I did a search and didn't find any threads on this item. I have some brass that is good less the pri. pockets and was wondering if this thing really works.

Ive been wondering the same thing, I guess that tool hasn't been out long enough. But the idea has Merritt, all you need to do is move a little brass on the case head around, and that should do it.
In fact, two flat nosed punches, one 1/4" (in side) and one 3/8" (out) would do the same thing. Maybe ill try that on a loose BR cases. Loose pockets are the only way they go bad on me.

You can have a die made with a carbide ring and have a ram made to push the casehead throught the ring. it will squeeze the casehead and web into spec.

You can also have a roll sizer made to tighten up the primer pockets. They are very expensive.

I talked to Wally and Bobby Hart last year at the Dixie Deer Classic. They said the Hart Primer restoring tool is now made by a vendor. They usually have a few in stock. Wally said the tool works best if one pecks with the punch rather than hitting it was force.

I still think the best way to tighten primer pockets is with a swaging die. The same size will work with a 243, 260, 7mm08, 308, 45 acp etc.
A roll sizer will also work well but it is prohibitly expensive.

I tried to get the folks who maKe the Case Pro-100 roll sizer to make a unit for 223 and 308. The were not interested.
