anyone ever shoot Berger 190 Target Match in a 308?

Anticipating that I will not be able to resupply with enough 185LRBTs for the entire F class season this yr I've ordered some Berger 190s. (I'm also going to exeriment/practice with some Berger 185 hunting bullets) Anyone ever shoot the 190s in a 308, what kind of MVs can I expect from a 30 or 34" barrel with Varget?

I'd try a little slower powder if there were any available. Varget I've got at least for now.

well, the silence is not encouraging. :-\

I really didn't think I was going to see too many responses. It looks like we went 155/175 - 185 - 200 and bypassed the 190s (and I'm not even sure that Berger still makes them.

I shot the 190's in a magnum (300 rum) with good results. I have heard that berger was going to discontinue making them for some reason but that was 2nd hand information. I thought it was a great bullet for my needs.

I can see why, they don't have the BC of the 200 hybred and I doubt that they will have better ballistics with the MVs that I can get from a 185 out of a 308, but I can get 1000 of them. Looking at what I've got on the shelf I can't make it through the season w/o more bullets. I can always use them in practice and local matches. Even if they don't shoot quite as well as the 185 or the 200 the difference is not something I can call, at least at this point. (3 " difference in a 10MPH wind) The PITA is going to be having to do a separate load workup.

I've never personally shot em but there is a guy that shoots at our club that is a High Master in FTR (Midrange) and he shoots em quite well. Apparantly they shoot or he wouldn't be using them. Don't know what they would do at 1000 but i don't see why they wouldn't be fine there also.
