Reading the OP, I first thought of chrome plating the ram (cheaper?). Not familiar with nitriding though...
There is nothing wrong with his ram that needs fixing!

Bruh!! You have way to much time on your hands..Thinking about ordering a new ram for an RC Supreme and sending it off to be nitrided. Anyone ever try this out? I know on custom actions it makes a world of difference in terms of smoothness, and I figured it'd be the same on a reloading press.
I'm willing to be the guinea pig, but before I pulled the trigger I figured I'd see if anyone had done it before?

OP was asking about making his press better, not stating anything was/is wrong. Probably just wondering about a specific treatment for the ram. My post was following his thinking. No one said his press is defective...There is nothing wrong with his ram that needs fixing!

Do you have a place in mind to send it for being Nitrated?
Nice . Thank you sir.https://primarymachine.com/refinishing-laser-work/black-nitride-refinishing/
Figure it'd be about $60.
Got a response back from RCBS. I'm pulling the trigger!
