Anyone Ever Have Vehicle Stolen!!

The parts are the big attraction - easier to remove and sale on the black market so I'm told.
100% correct. A car’s parts are worth FAR more than the entire car itself.

We have a 66 Bronco at the shop. Had it since new in 1965. Worn out three on the tree, which has been "worn out " since it was new. THE MOST STOLEN VIECLE IN TOWN. Always found it within a 1/2 mile, abandon, stuck in first gear. Impossable to get from first to second unless you knew to touch reverse first. Best feature on that old thing!!!!

Yea, the best theft determent ever-three on the tree. Now days most of the young kids do not know how to drive a manual transmission. Never seen hand crank windows, non power steering and brakes. The kid at the oil change shop could not believe or seen a carburetor when I brought in one of our older trucks for service. Told him the we have one even older that has a breaker points distributor as well. I think that totally lost him there. He wasn't even a dream in his dads pants when those were built. ('86 F350 and '76 C30) We could leave the keys in those old trucks and they would still be there when you came back to them after lunch. The tools in the one were worth more than the truck. (rotary hammer, pipe threader, drills, bits, saws, etc...)

I had a 66 Bronco myself and it suffered that very same ailment. Lost it in a divorce. It was either the Bronco or my guns.
